Open Studios: What We Bought

I was waiting until after Mother’s Day to post this because we were lucky enough to score some great presents at Open Studios this year. Now that the holiday has come and gone, I want to share what we loved so much that we couldn’t leave it behind.

We got this ring, made by Teeru Bihani of Blue Helix Designs, for Mike’s mom at the Armory. She loves big, beautiful rings and this one fit the bill perfectly!

These candlesticks were made by Julie Peck Ceramics, whose studio we stumbled on while walking around town. She had so many gorgeous creations on display that it was difficult to choose which to buy, but I knew my mom would love these.

We picked up this Brian Hart poster at Fringe Union, our first stop during Open Studios weekend. It was printed by Mike Dacey of Repeat Press (who also works out of Fringe) and I just love the colors.

I first saw Suzanne Lubeck’s art at the Vernon Street Studios a couple of years ago and I’ve been kicking myself for not buying any ever since. So when we found her again this year, I kew we couldn’t leave without a piece. We selected this mixed media because we live in Prospect Hill and love it!

What did you buy at Open Studios? Anything you left behind that you can’t stop thinking about?
