Winter weather swept into Somerville on Friday, leaving us with several inches of fresh snow. But by Saturday the sun was out and temperatures were warming–just in time for Groundworks Somerville’s Maple Syrup Boil Down!
The Community Growing Center (22 Vinal Ave.) was packed with people young and old that all seemed so happy to be outdoors. It was terrific to see the boiler (built by Somerville High School students) in action and learn more about the maple syrup-making process. And the sun being out just made the already fun and educational event even more enjoyable!
Here are some photos I took at the Maple Syrup Boil Down and at the Winter Farmers Market. Enjoy!
Did you attend the Maple Syrup Boil Down or shop at the Winter Farmers Market last weekend?
