I don’t have any exact statistics on this, but I’m guessing there aren’t many places where you can eat Ethiopian, Caribbean and Italian food on one street in one night. But that’s exactly what you can do at next Tuesday’s East Somerville Foodie Crawl, when more than a dozen restaurants with roots on five continents showcase their unique dishes.
Participating restaurants will prepare cuisine that hails from places as diverse as Mexico, El Salvador, Haiti and Brazil. As the crawl moves along Broadway, East Somerville’s main foodie corridor, you’ll get to sample fare from Mount Vernon, Blessing Caribbean, Vinny’s, Tapatio, Fasika, Gauchao, Casey’s, Los Paisanos, Maya Sol, Taqueria Montecristo, Ola Gifts Cafe, Taco Loco, East End Grille, Dreamy Flavor, Big Bite BBQ and enjoy a wine tasting at Joe’s Liquors.
The Foodie Crawl kicks off on Tuesday, September 10 at 6 p.m. with check-in starting at 5:45 p.m. at Mudflat Studios (81 Broadway) and near Louie’s Ice Cream (193 Broadway). At 8 p.m. the after parties get going with dessert and live music. In the event of rain, the crawl will take place on Wednesday, September 11. Tickets are $20 for general admission in advance ($25 at the door), $15 for high school/college students with an ID and $3 for kids under 12. Proceeds benefit East Somerville Main Streets.
And today, I’ve got a chance for you to win two tickets to the Foodie Crawl!
How to enter:
