Photos & Videos from Somerville’s Porchfest 2015

Even though we’ve been attending PorchFest for years, it somehow just keeps getting better and better. Last Saturday’s event was packed with talented local musicians who provided a soundtrack to Somerville for an afternoon. We tried to see as many sets as possible, revisiting some old favorites and enjoying many new-to-us bands. And we snapped a lot of photos, and a few videos, along the way.

First up, we swung by the Somerville Symphony Orkestar on Prospect Hill. Like what you hear? Get tickets to the band’s next gig on May 29 at Thunder Road in Somerville.

We enjoyed the sounds coming from the Art for Education event at Agassiz Preschool on Summer Street on our way to another stop.

One of our favorite bands from last year’s event was the Afro-D All Starz at First Church Somerville, so we knew we wanted to hear them again.

The band, which plays socially conscious hip-hop, jazz, soul and funk, was terrific again this year. We loved the high-energy show.

In addition to videos, we snapped lots of photos …
