Somerville Saturday: Assembled and PorchFest

What a terrific weekend it was in Somerville! Mine was action-packed, starting with a long run on Saturday morning that was followed by a trip to Assembled: The Handmade Arts Market at Assembly Row, lunch at Bloc 11, PorchFest and finally dinner at Casa B.

I was so pleased to see so many people out at the first Assembled market, which runs throughout the summer, and PorchFest was excellent as always. I saw many familiar faces and lots of new ones while soaking in the sounds of Somerville. I hope PorchFest continues for many years to come because it seems to bring so many people together in such a positive way. It makes me so happy to call Somerville home.

Did you make it out to any of the events happening in Somerville this weekend? What was your favorite?

  1. I’d love to see Porchfest happen twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall.
