Weekend 12.13-12.15: Holiday Parties, Illuminations Tour & Road Race

The City of Somerville has declared a snow emergency starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, which means you have until 6 p.m. to move your vehicle to the odd side of the street. Several events have been canceled or postponed because of the impending storm, so check with event organizers before heading out.

Last weekend’s post was so crazy full of fun events that I thought it couldn’t be topped, but this weekend is also jam-packed with awesome stuff to do in Somerville. Do some holiday shopping at Mudflat’s Open Studio, at The Davis Flea’s Holiday Vintage Market (canceled) or in Davis at D-Squared and Magpie Kids, which both have special events on Saturday. There’s also a yoga workshop, a tap takeover at Olde Magoun’s Saloon, a festive road race (postponed until Sunday, December 22), a charity music show and local sweets makers Taza Chocolate and EHChocolatier are opening their doors. Plus, the farmers market is back at the Armory on Saturday. Have fun out there!
