Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away, which means it’s time to think about shopping local for your sweetie. And you’ll have a chance to do just that at the Somerville Local First Local is for Lovers Market this weekend!
The Valentine’s Day Market is at the Arts at the Armory (191 Highland Ave.) on Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. As with all of the Somerville Local First markets, you can expect to find unique locally made gifts, food products and more.
This Sunday’s Local is for Lovers Market has more than 30 vendors selling everything from handmade bath products, jewelry and candles to chocolate, candies and coffee. You’ll also find paper products, books and even treats for man’s best friend.
In addition to the local vendors, the market will have live music to keep your energy up as you shop and the Arts at the Armory Cafe will be open for you to refuel with baked goods, lunch food and drinks. The talented Jeremy Heflin will be on hand with his photo booth to capture the day and parents can shop kid-free while the little ones have fun in the Knucklebones play space.
As always, the Local is for Lovers Market is free to attend and parking is available at the Armory. So bring the whole family down and show some local love this Valentine’s Day!
